Eminem Breaks More Records With "Not Afraid"

Eminem will once again join an elite club tomorrow (May 13th) when his new "Not Afraid" single, from his upcoming "Recovery" album, will debut #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles Chart, the hip hop king's single is just the 16th to debut #1 on top of the charts on it's 52 week history and first single since Oct. 17, 2009, when Britney Spears' "3" danced in at No. 1. Released only last Monday (May 3rd), just four days after it hit radio, "Not Afraid" sold 380,000 copies digitally with over 10.3 million listener impressions according to the Nielsen rating system.

"Not Afraid" is only the second rap single to start at number one since "Ill Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy (with Faith Evans and 112) back in 1997. This will mark Eminem's third chart-topping single, "Lose Yourself" was in the spot for 12 weeks in 02/03 while "Crack A Bottle" (with Dr Dre & 50 Cent) hit the mark back in 2009.
